{"id":2067,"date":"2019-12-19T11:10:48","date_gmt":"2019-12-19T00:10:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/caseyweeklycranbourne.com.au\/?p=2067"},"modified":"2019-12-19T11:14:14","modified_gmt":"2019-12-19T00:14:14","slug":"2067","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/caseyweeklycranbourne.com.au\/2019\/12\/19\/2067\/","title":{"rendered":"Endeavor Hills Skate park sets to open"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Funded jointly by Council and the State Government through the Growing Suburbs Fund, the $3.16 Million skatepark and play space at Endeavour Hills is set to open as upgrades is near to completion.<\/p>\n<p>While the bulk of construction work has been done, the site remains closed to the public while final safety components are installed over the coming weeks. It is expected to open to the public before end of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The new regional skate park will cater for beginners through to experienced skaters and scooter riders and features over 865m2 of skateable terrain, including a street course and various bowls and also feature playground, terraced landscaping, lawn area for events and gymnastics and parkour equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Another good renovation in the are is the Whale tale sculpture which has been refurbished and \u00a0now sits on top of the headland overlooking the skate and play spaces.<\/p>\n<p>Four Oaks Ward Councillors Rosalie Crestani and Milla Gilic said this facilities will be a great asset to the community, especially local youth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know that residents can\u2019t wait to try out the new play space and skate park and we are working as quickly as possible to get the finishing touches completed so we can open it to the community,\u201d Cr Crestani said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn official opening will also be arranged in the new year and we will notify residents when a date has been set so everyone can join in the celebration of this fantastic community space.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Funded jointly by Council and the State Government through the Growing Suburbs Fund, the $3.16 Million skatepark and play space at Endeavour Hills is set to open as upgrades is near to completion.
