All library branches will be accepting monetary, gifts, and food donations to help these families.<\/p>\n<p>City Mayor Councillor Susan Serey said that all Casey Cardinia Libraries branches will accept non-perishable food with intact packaging and best before dates in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is a wonderful opportunity to tap into the true spirit of Christmas by donating new, unwrapped gifts to brighten the Festive Season for those that need it most,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, fines for lost or damaged books will be waived if they come with their donations, and pre-loved books are also available in exchange for donations.<\/p>\n<p>Casey Cardinia Libraries CEO Chris Buckingham acknowledged that there are people \u201cdoing it tough in our community\u201d and that Christmas is often a time when things can get harder.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCasey Cardinia Libraries is always keen to pay it forward and support our charity partners to make things better for the vulnerable\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year, we think that our surplus books will make great, recycled gifts for friends or family.
